Where can I extend a visa-exempt stay in Thailand?

Went to Immigration Bureau in Suan Phlu today to get an extension of stay (came in visa exempt) but was told at their information counter I can only do this at the Temporary Visa Extension Centre up in Pak Kret district in Nonthaburi.

Anyone else extended a visa-exempt stay and found that to be the only place to get it done? Previously I'd been told there were a few offices I could go to.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user visited the Immigration Bureau in Suan Phlu to extend a visa-exempt stay but was informed that the only location for this request is at the Temporary Visa Extension Centre in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi. Other comments confirm that this is the main office for extending a visa-exempt stay in Bangkok, with an alternative location mentioned at Muang Thong Thani.

okay, If you entered visa exempt you go to the "alternate" immigration office set up out at Muang Thong Thani (near the impact arena) here:

I dunno who told you there were a "few offices" you could go to because in Bangkok that's the ONLY place you can extend a visa exempt entry stamp :(

Yes. That's the only place if you are in Bangkok.
