TLDR : Answer Summary
You can extend your tourist visa for another 30 days at a local immigration office in Thailand, regardless of whether you previously used a visa exemption or a tourist visa. If you enter Thailand in October with a new tourist visa, you will have 60 days upon arrival plus the option to extend for 30 days for a fee of 1,900 THB. Alternatively, if entering visa exempt, you would receive a 45-day stamp and can still extend for 30 days.

Difficult to know what you are asking.

You have a Single-Entry tourist visa right now, but haven't used it? If you're received an SETV eVisa, it's valid for 90 days, and you can enter the country any time within those 90 days.

If you'll be getting an SETV before coming here, yes, you'll be able to extend the 60-day SETV for another 30 days at immigration for 1,900฿.

Same thing for the visa-exemption stamp, but if you enter in October, it'll be 45 days instead, and you can extend for another 30 days for 1,900฿.

Whether you use a visa exemption or tourist visa you can extend for another 30 days at your local immigration office.

That's not for all. It depends on your nationality if you can apply for 30 days tourism extension or not

it used to be just only +7 extra days extensions. They changed it to +30 with 1 October?

how many times can you get tourist visas in a year though

, There is no written limit to how many tourist visas you can apply for. But in reality, it's until officers at the Thai embassy/consulate start to doubt your tourist status if you apply for them continuously.

Just how long are you planning on staying in Thailand?

there's no limit...but it's at the discretion of the Thai immigration officer to allow entry on arrival. IF this is your second this year...no problem.

you said above that you just received you tourist visa. So that's the second one this year which is fine.

I see you are a Brit. Your visa will be for 60 days and you can extend it once in country for a further 30 days. Both are certainties.

Are you buying a Thai tourist visa before you fly to Thailand? Gives you 60 days stamp on arrival plus One 30 days extension of stay from your local Thai immigration office for 1900 Thai baht... = 90 days stay in Thailand.

OR are you going to enter visa exempt..? Arrivals FROM OCTOBER 1 get 45 Days STAMP as visa exempt entry...

Plus one 30 day extension of stay = 75 days stay in Thailand

if you get an exemption for 45 days and want to extend it in Thailand do they give you another 45 days or 30?

hello, yes I’ve just received my tourist visa, I thought my trip in February would mean I can’t extend

Your trip in February is separate from the trip you are going to take. If you received a tourist visa (and haven't entered Thailand with it yet, in other words, haven't used it), it's still valid and you can enter Thailand during the 90 days of which the visa is valid (90-day countdown starts the day it is issued to you).

If you enter Thailand before it expires, you'll be able to extend it another 30 days at immigration for 1,900฿.
