Hi Admin/ Moderators, I am on tourist visa and I entered Thailand on March 21st and got 30 days free visa exemption, with all the situations right now, Can I already extend my visa tomorrow even if it will expire on April 21st?Thank you..

Answer summary

A user on a 30-day visa exemption is seeking advice on whether they can extend their visa tomorrow before it expires on April 21st. A commenter confirms that they can extend their visa at the immigration office for 1,900 baht, advising to wait until mid-April due to current crowded conditions.

If you are going to BKK immigration, go really early and take lots of time with you. I went today at 8:30 (when they officially open) and i waited for 8,5 hours until i got my visa extension 😬

then you can go and get ONE normal 30 day extension on that at the immigration office for 1900baht.

Seeing as your stamp does not expire until the end of April I'd wait until it's closer to that date before you go get the extension.

I'd say go the middle of April, it's a mad house at immigration now with people getting their extensions, you have time, take some time and wait it out

just a quick question. Are these the actually requirement for the normal 30 day extension? Or the embassy letter is really a must.

okay lets sort this out. You SAY you entered on a tourist visa <- that is a VISA you bought from a thai consulate in another country BEFORE you came here right?

So how about actually saying whether you're here on a 30 day visa exempt entry <- meaning you showed up and were stamped in for free for 30 days OR if you really are on a TOURIST visa that you got from a thai consulate before you came here
