TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking recommendations for a visa run company to Vietnam in order to obtain a multiple entry tourist visa for Thailand, as they plan to travel to Singapore in April. Responses suggest that it may be better to plan a personal visa run to one of the Thai consulates in Vietnam rather than using a company. Additionally, options for a re-entry permit are discussed, which would allow the user to extend their stay in Thailand without obtaining a new visa in Singapore.

You plan your own visa run to one of the two thai consulates in Vietnam.. No companies run there

You may also want to check re-entry permit option with your SETV...

Visa run company... Your current location would be the key, maybe?

I don't believe there is any walk in service. You apply online, then if it is agreed, you show up with the paperwork, turn it in and go back the next day and collect your passport/visa.

The only issue is that nobody has yet confirmed if Singapore will actually issue a visa to SA passport holders.

Once you enter Thailand with your visa, buy re-entry permit at any of immigration offices before your next travel or at the airport just before you are flying out.. Single 1000THB, multiple 3800THB. At the airport +200THB for processing fee (or whatever the name is)..

I did see that - didn't realize it was compulsory, do they not do walk Ins at all? Although that will probably end up making it easier ...

Sorry...

If you get SETV, enter to Thailand with 60 days admitted to stay, you get re-entry permit to keep your original 60days (+30days of extension if you want) alive when you are flying/going out of Thailand for short time. If your schedule of your Singapore trip was in this time span, you don't have to get another tourist visa from Singapore.

We are currently in Bangkok - SA passport holders. Our visa expires next week so needing to do a run then but we were hoping to avoid having to get a new VISA in Singapore- don't think that's possible now though

You can only get a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa in the country of your residence or at some consulate in Australia.
