Has anyone done a border bounce at Pedang Besar recently? Wondering if need to stay a night in Malaysia or if can come back in on same day?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers recently shared their experiences doing border bounces at Pedang Besar, noting that while some were able to return to Thailand on the same day, others faced challenges. It's advised to have an onward ticket when crossing, and some reported being charged a 2000 baht fee to exit and re-enter Thailand the same day. Historically, staying overnight in Malaysia was often necessary, especially before the COVID-19 pandemic, indicating travelers should be prepared for varying requirements.

Did one a few months ago at the same border crossing. Immigration will charge you 2000 baht to exit and return the same day. They can refuse entry to anyone at anytime for any reason. That’s why it’s 2000 and not free like it should be. It’s either pay up or stay for a few days in Malaysia.

I've just arrived at Bangkok from kuala lumpur doing a border bounce. I advise purchasing a dummy ticket showing you leaving Thailand again. I had one and showed it. Until then I was being grilled as to how long I was staying. Despite me telling them approx 1 month I thought I was going to be refused entry. The IO even called for assistance for advice. This was my first border bounce.

great idea but why not create your own post? People may not read your comment if looking re KL & Bkk as the OP does not mention this!
