Are you able to make a one-day Visa bounce at Pedang Besar or Sadao or do you have to stay overnight? I hold a type “O” Family visit visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The ability to perform a one-day visa bounce at Pedang Besar or Sadao border crossings largely depends on the discretion of the immigration officer. While some travelers have successfully returned the same day, many reports suggest that staying overnight in Malaysia may be necessary to ensure re-entry into Thailand. It's advisable to plan for an overnight stay if you are not using a visa run company.

Good luck to the OP.
As stated a lot depends on the Thai Immigration Officer you meet.
Be prepared to stay one night if needed.

If you're not going with a visa run company (that pre-greases the wheels so you can get out and back in) you may indeed find yourself camping out in Malaysia overnight. If you're doing it on your own, I'd plan for an overnight stay and then if you DO get back in you can feel lucky :P

There are reports that BOTH crossings are telling people they need to stay in Malaysia overnight when tryin' to bounce out and back in.
BUT There are reports that some people skated out and back in.
I think it's a situation that changes depending on the whim of the officer you get trying to stamp back in.
I don't recommend leaving the group at all, everyone's knowledge is valued. However, this group is managed a lot differently than most Facebook groups, and the group mods run this group like an old BBS group.
It takes time to understand this group's culture and how the mods operate and what they expect. And remember that Tod, Robert, et. al. work for free, and can be a bit short tempered at times.
Approach this group like a BBS group, you'll be fine. If you approach it like most Facebook groups... well, the mods aren't scared about banning people.
, while your story is anecdotally interesting it has abso-tively, posi-lutely NOTHING at all to do with whether you can bounce out and back in at the Sadao or Pedang Besar Land borders with Malaysia.
