What have been recent experiences for DTV visa holders re-entering Thailand amid stricter immigration checks?

With the heavy crackdown on scam call centers in Myanmar, Cambodia, and Thailand, they are taking special attention with anyone that fits that stereotype, and profile. You will be let in, as you have a legal visa, but if they suspect any kind of illegal activity, they will track everything you do, and everywhere you go. Just to make sure, one way, or the other. Just don't do anything illegal, then no worries.

I have the DTV for remote work

I came in and out many times

Especially from Laos

And the last time three months ago, I came back, was the first time I got inspected

They pulled me to the room and questioned me

Asked all kinds of questions about the work, asked for contact numbers , salary etc etc

Do Have friends in Thailand who etc , why I’m here etc

I was caught off guard for a bit, I contact everyone through LINE so I actually didn’t have phone numbers but I just answered and was friendly, he didn’t seem hostile. Either once I provided him everything.

In the end, they let me through but I guess they are getting more serious

There abit random but sometimes they check your story matches your visa.

Keep all documents in place as if you are going to be questioned and then there is nothing to be worried about. It's a Thai visa and not a Thai passport.

Mostly its no problem. But occasionally they ask about ongoing soft power activity. Non of our customers have been turned away though.
