Can I bring cash in euros to Thailand to meet the 1-year extension of stay requirements based on marriage?

For the 1 year extension based on marriage, does it have to be transfered from a foreign account or can I bring a good chunk of it in with me in euros and change it to baht and lodge it in my account?

I was just thinking I'd fair better in regards to the exchange rate bringing the cash physically in with me .Cheers 🙂

How you deposit the money for your one year extension of stay as MARRIED to Thai is Up to You.

Just follow the requirements for the one year extension of your local Thai Immigration office.

The 400,000 Thai baht Needs to be SEASONED TWO FULL MONTHS before you make an application for the one year extension of stay as Married to Thai.

I was just was reading there that you can bring in 20k usd or the equivalent so that's great ,I might bring in my euros for a better deal besides transferring from Ireland.

For the 1 year Extension of Stay based on marriage with a Thai citizen there is no proof needed where the money comes from.

But be aware that there are rules to export and import cash money
