For the 1 year extension based on marriage, does it have to be transfered from a foreign account or can I bring a good chunk of it in with me in euros and change it to baht and lodge it in my account?
I was just thinking I'd fair better in regards to the exchange rate bringing the cash physically in with me .Cheers ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can bring cash in euros to Thailand and convert it to baht to meet the requirements for a 1-year extension of stay based on marriage. There is no requirement for where the funds originate, but the deposited amount must be seasoned for at least two full months prior to your application.
I was just was reading there that you can bring in 20k usd or the equivalent so that's great ,I might bring in my euros for a better deal besides transferring from Ireland.
