TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of obtaining a work permit for their newly registered company while currently residing in New Zealand. Responses suggest that it may not be possible to secure the work permit from outside Thailand, particularly due to COVID-related restrictions and the nature of their company being newly established. It is recommended to check with the Thai Embassy for specific guidance and to demonstrate economic urgency for entry.

lawyer just told me, I quote:

"A foreigner living inside the country can apply a NEW Non B and work permit by submit applications and all docs to the Thai embassy in any country abroad and then you will get a NonB and come back to Thailand to apply for a work permit"

he also added, I quote:

"(you must have a flight to leave the country and a flight to come to Thailand and must follow the rule from Thai gov; 14 days quarantine, 100k USD COVID insurance, etc) So it's very difficult to apply for a new one!!!!"

good luck. The OP is seeking special permission to enter at this time. Its not business as usual with COVID.

He will need to demonstrate an urgency for his return to Thailand.

His is a newly formed company with no history in Thailand.

We wish him good luck with his business venture. He can submit an application with his Thai Embassy.

Please ask your Thai Embassy. But I do not think its possible.

Yours is a newly registered company.

The possession of a Thai work permit is no guaranty of receiving special permission needed to enter Thailand now.

Please read paragraph #2 of the Thai Foreign Ministry instructions to Thai Embassy's

There must be shown an economic urgency on behalf of the business to receive permission to enter now.

You might wish to follow other Facebook groups re those outside Thailand seeking special permission to enter.

I had to go to the labor office to sign and collect mine. Maybe someone else has more accurate advice. Best of luck..
