Applying for Non imm B visa, I don't have a work permit yet.

Is it correct that I should apply for a 3 month visa first, sort out a work permit on return, then when the 3 months are up and I have a WP apply for a multiple entry?

I need to show that I have applied for a WP before I am granted the 3 month visa, right?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the correct procedure to apply for a Non Immigrant B visa without having a work permit. They want to confirm if they should first apply for a 3-month visa, then obtain a work permit, and later apply for a multiple-entry visa. Comments suggest that the employer should assist with documentation and confirm that a work permit application or related paperwork is necessary for the 3-month visa.

So you had a non b, could not get a Extension of Stay, went to be a tourist again, now you like to work again with the Non B visa. You need to show your work permit or at least the WP3 form that the application of the work permit is done.

You have had a Non B visa and work permit before. In March 2019

The same process you took before is still the same. As a South African citizen.

Hi James. Can't do it within the country this time. Had to go on a tourist visa in between so it's not an extension of a previous Non B.

your employer should provide you with all the correct documentation.

You will get a 1 year extension of stay when you go back with your WP. You get a non B 90 day visa initially.

And where in the world are you going to apply for this Non Immigrant B visa? Your employer should know how the procudure is and hand over or send all needed documents.

Going to apply in Laos. Employers not as clued up as they could be and often make mistakes, so I thought I'd ask.
