Has anyone applied with a British or Irish passport recently from a SE Asian country and been approved ? 

I have been away from from the Uk for two years and was advised by an agent to apply from my home country due to my passports.

Anonymous participant You just need to show you are staying in the SE Asian country at time of application. Plenty of non resident UKers obtained their DTV in that region.

thanks, I was told that I would need residency in the country I was applying from. I didn’t think that was the case but things are changing quickly and I can’t keep up 🙈
