Hello! Could anyone clarify if it is possible to apply for a 60-90 day tourist visa online?

My family is Australian but we are already travelling in Vietnam, so hoping for an online process before we get to Thailand!

TLDR : Answer Summary
It is not possible to apply for a Thai tourist visa online while you are in Vietnam. Applicants must apply in person at the Thai Embassy in Hanoi or the Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City. Australians, however, can enter Thailand without a visa and receive a 30-day stamp on arrival, which can be extended for an additional 30 days.

If you are physically in Vietnam, that's where you should get your visa from. And you can't do it online there.

Here's the Thai Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon

They're now also showing the appointment calendar. So make appointment to submit your Thai Visa application.

NOPE, not possible to use the Evisa online application system for a Thai tourist visa while you are in Vietnam.

You MUST apply for a Thai Visa in person if you are in Vietnam. EITHER at the Thai Embassy in Hanoi or Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon.

Be sure to look carefully at their websites for the specific requirements for the Thai tourist visa. They're strict in requiring you submit the requirements shown.

Where are you in Vietnam?

And...

If you wish, as you have a passport from Australia, you can enter Thailand Visa EXEMPT and get a 30 day STAMP on arrival. Plus that can be extended for 30 ADDED days at your local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.
