Hello,

I’ve searched this forum numerous times and am still totally confused. Would really appreciate some help please?

I’m from UK and trying to complete application for e-visa (tourist) and will change to education visa in CM. I have already paid school deposit.

Purpose of visit? Should I select recreational learning?

Intended date of departure - will this need to be within 60 days and use site like get onward travel?

For Q4 - Travel booking confirmation -Do I need book flight and pay for prior to applying for visa?

Same for Q5 - do I need to show accommodation booking for 2 months, paid for?

Q9 - it’s a new passport with no stamps, what do I do here?

Q10 - verify current residency, is passport sufficient?

Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on applying for an e-visa for Thailand as a UK citizen, specifically about the purpose of visit, guidelines for booking flights and accommodations, and residency verification. Responses advise listing 'holiday' as the purpose, ensuring departure is within 60 days, and mentioning the necessity of both flight and accommodation bookings. Additional tips include presenting a proposed itinerary and ensuring passport information is complete, particularly with a new passport.

Flight has to be booked and paid for, before applying for visa. Or an onward ticket.

Can I clarify please, are you saying if I book and pay for inward flight I don’t require an inward ticket or do you mean both tickets need to be confirmed? Thanks.

Tourism is your reason if you're applying for a Tourist visa. Departure within 60 days, passport for residency.

You're applying for a tourist visa so just put holiday as your reason for going.

Date of departure should be within 60 days for the application.

You can try going all the way to the end of booking a flight and then taking a screenshot of your proposed itinerary and uploading that, but they might email you afterwards and ask you for an actual ticket.

You don't need to show booking for the entire time. A week hotel reservation is plenty. Send a few blank pages.

If you have a drivers license or utility bill is best but if not then you can try your passport again.

Thank you so much!

I forgot to ask if it possible for me to enter on visa exemption (30 days) and extend (30 days) until my ED visa is processed? I have already had an exemption in January this year.

it's possible yes. But you need to get started as soon as you arrive because your school needs to apply to the ministry of education which takes 2-3 weeks and then immigration still wants you to have 2-3 weeks left on your stay when you go there to apply for the ED. So visa exempt + 30 day extension can still be tight with that timeline.
