ORIGINAL POSTER
Hi everyone. Is it possible for me to apply for a business visa within Thailand? I had left Thailand as required, and waited in Malaysia for 3 weeks for the paperwork to be issued by the Thai Ministry of Labor. The paperwork was approved, but unfortunately there was a delay in being sent to me. Malaysia issued a shutdown, so I left and entered Thailand on a 30 day exemption on arrival.

Now it seems that re-entering Thailand will be very difficult, or not possible, let alone the difficulty of leaving the country to apply for the Visa. The company I will be working under is a private Ltd company. I am currently in Ko Phanghan Thailand and my exemption runs out on 16th April, with the possibility to extend a further 30 days at Koh Samui. So, can I apply for the business visa here in Thailand?

I believe that there is a time limit on the validity of the paperwork from the ministry of Labor but I'm not sure, if someone can confirm this too I will be grateful!

Thank you so much!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether they can apply for a Non-B business visa while in Thailand on a 30-day exemption. After facing delays due to paperwork from the Thai Ministry of Labor while they were in Malaysia, they have now re-entered Thailand. They express concerns about visa application procedures and the need for assistance from their employer.

Go with all documents and your employer to the Immigration Office in Surat Thani and ask for conversion from your Visa Exempt Entry into the Non Immigrant B visa. To be sure, let your employer contact this office for the list with requirements, so you walk in prepared.

It depends on your employer and your local immigration office.

Your company needs to provide all the paperwork for you to apply in-country Non-B. The requirements are much more than those for applying at consulates.

And not all immigration offce issue in-country visa to 'convert'.

Best is to ask your employer to have some Thai staff contact your local immigration office for a handout of requirements.

Well if you not get your visa B from outside ...will be more difficult but is possible. You need to go to the Immigration and ask ....but it is possible don't wait to long you need here 15 days on phuket but may be different there ....
