I have been in Thailand since end of October and have added extensions to 20th Feb as a result of having a Thai wife.

I now have an opportunity to work. Do I need to leave the country to get a Non B visa or can I get it in country. I have seen some text on the.internet that it is possible.

Grateful for your advice. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether they can obtain a Non-B visa in Thailand since they have been in the country since late October and currently have visa extensions due to having a Thai spouse. They mention an opportunity to work and have seen information suggesting it's possible to get the visa without leaving the country.

I did mine in country 30 day visa extension to non b, but it was for a BOI company

And what did your employer told you? The company is the one who has to provide most of the documents.

It depends on your Immigration Office, not all are allowed to do conversions. For the Non Immigrant O you need to meet the financial requirements like 400.000 Thb in a Thai bank account or minimum 40.000 Thb monthly income, for the Non Immigrant B visa it really depends on your employer

you have options, you can get the Non Immigrant O visa based on being married with a Thai National and get the work permit next to this OR apply with documents from your employer for the Non Immigrant B visa and get a Work Permit.
