Hi. I want to ask these questions, please reply if you've any spare time. All questions are somewhat relevant to each other, so you can reply as wholesome too. I appreciate your help. PS, its a Pakistan passport.

Q1. Is it possible to get a new Non-B visa in presence of re-entry stamp + remaining days in current visa validity?

Q2. What are the best embassy options to change a Non-B (Single entry 90 days) to 1 year (multiple entry - 90 days stay on each entry)?

Q3. I heard that some counselates / embassies don't care about financial health, is that true? If not then what's the approx amount / seasoning which may work well?

Q4. Is that okay to show proof of funds in my Thailand bank account (K Bank) or should I use home country bank?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about their options regarding a Non-B visa for Thailand, specifically asking if they can apply for a new one while having a re-entry stamp and remaining days on their current visa. They also want to know the best embassy options for upgrading their Non-B visa to a 1-year multiple entry, any financial requirements involved, and whether they can show proof of funds from their Thai bank account instead of their home country.

You can apply for another single entry non B visa with the current documentation you have (without a WP)

I think the best people to answer would be them. Why don't you call them and ask them? I don't think there are enough reports in here similar to your situation to be able to assess what the odds are.

Generally, multi entry non B's are hard to get at any Embassy, they would be likely be looking at your net worth in this case or the financials of the company. Some would issue the first as single then give multiples, but you should really enquire with Islamabad to see what they want specifically.

In reference to Malaysia, according to the website, you should be a resident to get a visa, but that's not to say they don't maybe bend the rules in special circumstances, if you say you are aware of confirmed cases of Pakistani nationals getting non B's there. But it's likely that, should you secure a non B in Malaysia, it would not be any more than a single. You should again cross check all the above with the respective places, we are now speculating.

Yeah. Do you think they gonna require seasoning?

Apparently in Islamabad there is proof of funds for a non B: Applicant’s original bank statement covering at least 1 year, and a certified covering letter from the bank.

Makes sense. Actually I have to fly Islamabad in end of June with a re-entry. Was thinking that maybe I could apply / get new visa in same trip. Thanks for giving clarity 😍

@Areeb *******
it will NOT add any days to your stamp. So if your visa expires at the end of july getting a re-entry permit won't add any time to that date. You can just leave/come back and be stamped in until that date again when you return.

IF you're getting a new visa you don't need a re-entry permit, just let this visa cancel when you leave and to get as much time out of it as you can, don't go try for the new visa until this one is almost up.

Thanks Tod. Is it possible to apply new visa in Islamabad if I go with a re-entry stamp? (In that case I'll have 15-20 days left as current visa expires in end of July).

@Ar***
there is no proof of funds for a Non-B visa.

Your best bet is to go back to Pakistan and apply for a year-long, multi-entry Non-B using the documentation from your company.

You're not going to get it from any consulate in a nearby country.

Robert Lagas If being director of a company isn't good in eyes of embassy or reduces my chance to get multiple entry, I can let go that because company I own doesn't / can't help for WP. All I can do is, get new visa with little more peace of mind and come back try to enrich my portfolio. Maybe I'll buy another business with a better legal / ss paying stand. So for now its okay to transfer shares to some friend and only worry about visa (if it helps).

Thanks Luke for your help. I got current non B from Pakistan on an invitation from Thai company with relevant docs dbd + financial statements + condo lease + my business docs back home etc. You're right it's restricted country but I heard some people got it in Malaysia without even being a resident. Wasn't sure how they submit proof of funds.
Luke ******
Well Areeb Masood, how did you get this current non B anyways? From Islamabad for business purposes right? Because I imagine you did not have an ongoing application for WP (WP3).
Luke ******
Multi non B for business purposes via his own company (no work) - page 1.

Worst case they refuse the multi and give him a single. Or offer METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) as a compromise.
Robert *******
He owns the company, so I guess he will be on the share holders list, than page 2 becomes valid work for company and on that list he needs a work permit or confirmed WP 3 form.
Luke ******
Well, he is from a restricted country, so he has to go back to Pakistan anyway. I don't know which neighboring consulate will issue any type of visa to a Pakistan passport holder, unless they have legal residence in that country. Could very well try his luck in Pakistan for a multi entry non B ( I don't see WP as being a requirement in Islamabad)
Robert *******
He is from Pakistan, so possible has to go back there to apply, did you see the list of requirements:

So you have a Non Immigrant B visa at the moment. Q1 I not understand what you try to do, or apply for a new Non immigrant B visa or leave and come back into Thailand using a re-entry permit. Q2 you can not change a visa. Q3 there is no financial requirement for this visa Q4 again no financial requirement for this visa. Do you have a Work Permit besides this visa?

That's why I plan to do it before expiry. Thanks for valuable inputs. Appreciate your help.
Robert *******
If you want to leave and come back after your permitted 90 days of stay, your stay and re-entry permit will be invalid. If you don't have a WP not plan to apply for one, I don't see any option to get a new Non Immigrant B visa.

Thanks Robert. It's a non immigrant B visa currently with a 90 days permission to stay. A1. I want to stay in Thailand for a longer period and don't want to apply for WP (the company I own didn't pay SS for 4 Thai staff - so ineligible to apply for my WP). Leave and come back is okay on re-entry but I'm told that I can't re-enter after expiry of 90 days. A2, Isn't it possible to apply for a new one even? No I don't hold Work permit and no plan to apply for one till we pay 4 months social security for 4 thai staff.
