Advice please...

When do I have to renew (aka get a new) Non-B visa?

How long and how can I stretch it?

Is there a trick based on timing my 90 day fly in and fly outs that lets me extend the visa to nearly 15 months? As I don’t want to visit Melbourne again in winter, that’s why I left lol...

And what would that latest extended date be?

Does the visa expire 12 months after first entry which would have been on 3 Sep 19, or does it expire on 8 Aug 20 as shown on visa?

Thanks in advance for your assistance...

Attached (edited) photos of Visa, relevant entry stamps, and WP.

Also not sure it’s relevant, but I have been in Thailand since Aug 2016, firstly on a 12 month “education” visa, then I switched to an extension of stay based on retirement (in Thailand) in Aug 2017, and further extended in Aug 2018, before the non B in Aug 2019...

Never any problems with immigration.

Tho they have had troubles following and understanding what the systems tell them about me at times. A few quick questions and clarifications, patiently and politely answered by me, and I’ve always been allowed to enter...

, excuse me to ask.

I'm curious and just want to make it clear.

Is it really possible to apply extension based on this visa? This one is mentioned as Business Trip (often mentioned as "conduct business, not for employment").

As he just mention it is a Thai Company, it looks like the "normal" Non Immigrant B visa for employment and the Consulate just typed the name of the supporting company on the visa. As we see more often by visa's for teachers and supporting schools.

Well spotted. If he applied for the Non Immigrant B visa based on business, he can not apply for an Extension of Stay inside Thailand. When checking dates I see that his Work Permit is handed out 5 Aug 2019, a few days before the visa on 09 Aug 2019.

You can exit/re-enter all you want right up until the 8th of August 2020 and you will always get stamped in for 90 days.

Time your last bounce out and in just before that date and you'll get almost 15 months of stay out of that visa

I am sure that it varies from office to office but in krabi you can start 45 days from expiry. May also be the same in Phuket - worth asking at the Phuket office

Thank you.

That’s what I had understood...

Now I’m very interested in understanding the “in Thailand extension of stay” that Robert Lagas has mentioned...

You don't renew that VISA, you don't have an extension you have a valid year long,, multi-entry Non-B VISA from a thai consulate

That visa lets you stay 90 days every entry stamp. Then you exit / re-enter to get a new 90 days. Your most recent entry stamp runs out Feb 27th 2020 so that's when you bounce out and back in again to get a new 90 day stamp.

You never renew the visa. You can apply for a 1 year Extension of Stay at your local Immigration Office based on being employed inside Thailand during the last 30 days of your Admitted to Stay period.

You can use this visa and make border runs to get new 90 days of stay until 8 Aug 2020.

If you do not like the border runs any more, visit the Immigration Office and ask for the hand out with requirement for a 1 year Extension of Stay based on employment.

Thanks, I wasn’t aware that I could do an extension of stay in Thailand.

I am in Phuket, is that similarly applicable here, with all the necessary paperwork from my company and accountant?

And yes, I am a director with the reqd %’s of ownership.

Sorry about word renew.

I had meant that I would apply for a new 12 month Non B visa in Melbourne...
