I recently got married to my Thai husband here in Thailand πΉπ (we registered our marriage at an amphur). After that, I flew back to Singapore for about ten days, and now Iβve just flown back to Thailand.
As a Singapore passport holder, Iβm here on a visa-exempt 60-day stay, so I still have a good amount of days left on my current entry.
Does anyone know if I can start the marriage visa process directly at the Krabi office while Iβm on this 60-day stay? Or do I still need to leave and apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa from Singapore first?
Would really appreciate advice from anyone whoβs gone through this recently, especially other foreign wives of Thai husbands. ππ Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The author, a Singaporean newlywed, inquires whether she can initiate her marriage visa process directly at the Krabi immigration office while on a 60-day visa-exempt stay in Thailand. Comments provide insights, suggesting she check with the local immigration office, noting conditions for application, and emphasizing the requirement for a Non-Immigrant O visa to proceed with certain financial necessities.
Might work in your case. A foreign woman, married to Thai man, have a fast path not only for permanent residence but to full Thai citizenship, passport included. Something like 3 years.
My wife is Thai, I never got through those rules, you might already know that. Then, you can do any work you can or want to do, no limits.
I recently did all this and now have my 90day non o waiting to do extension.
You will need to make application ASAP as you need the bank account opening which you can't do without non o stamp in your passport. 400,000 needs to be in there for 2 months to apply for extension.
Ask the Krabi immigration office. If that's one of the offices that allows for non-O conversions in Thailand then yes you can do it. You'll need at least 15-21 days left on your existing stamp on the day you apply though.
