A follow-up question if I may, as the advice was very helpful last time! I just entered Thailand yesterday on 60 day visa exempt stamp, can I apply for a Non-IMM O 90 visa anytime or do I have to wait a certain number of days? Also, how long does this take to process?

I ask as I am on a bit of a timeline, trying to get the 90 day, then wait, then apply for yearly extension on marriage, before I go to UK for Christmas! The months fly by. Thank you so much.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about applying for a Non-IMM O 90 visa after entering Thailand on a 60-day visa exempt stamp. The discussion confirmed that the user can apply for the Non-O visa anytime as long as they have 15/21 days remaining on their current stamp. Additionally, important advice was given regarding obtaining a re-entry permit before traveling back to the UK.

If you're going back to UK for a while after getting an O visa, don't forget to get a re-entry permit before you leave Thailand. I lost my second 12-month OA visa because nobody told me that I needed a re-entry permit. It clearly said "Multiple Entry" on the visa stamp so I assumed it meant multiple entry.

thanks- yes I won’t be making this mistake twice! I’ve never forgotten in a decade so I’ll remember next time.

So, you are going to apply for an initial in-country Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai male. You can apply for it anytime now, as long as you still have

days (depending on your local office) remaining with your current stamp.

You don't have to wait for a specific time.
