Tried doing a search here but couldn't find anything definitive...
I am legally married to a Thai citizen and have a Thai marriage certificate.
1. Can I apply for the ‘marriage visa’ (Non-O) in the Immigration office in Bangkok on a 60 day visa-exempt stamp? Some websites mentioned that I have to start the Non-O Visa application in my home country, hence my confusion.
2. If it’s possible to start the process in Bangkok, which Immigration office in Bangkok should I go to?
Thanks for your patience and advise

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about applying for a Non-O marriage visa in Thailand while currently holding a 60-day visa-exempt stamp, clarifying whether they can start the application process in Bangkok or if it must be done in their home country. Responses confirm that it is indeed possible to apply for the Non-O visa from within Thailand on a visa-exempt entry, but also caution about potential complications, such as opening a bank account required for the visa process.

You can apply for the non O if you are already in Thailand, but the problem is you are unlikely to be able to open a bank account on a tourist visa (do you have a bank account already?).
Thank you for the reply. I have all my documents and bank account ready. Just need to know which Immigration office I can bring all the stuff to start the process...
In Bangkok at the main Immigration Office at Chaengwattana, Section C-1 issues the Non-O Visas and Section L-1 is for the corresponding 12 month Extensions of Stay (for Retirement, Marriage and Thai Child) plus the 60 day extension for Visit Thai Family. A Visa application costs 2000B and an Extension of Stay application costs 1900B.
