Can I apply for a DTV visa if I'm self-employed as a web designer and manage rental properties?

Hello 😊

I'm new here 👋

I'd like to ask you guys if I'm allowed to apply DTV Visa or what to do to get this visa.

I'm not working remote for company but only for myself. I have portfolio as I'm web designer and I have also real estate for rent in my country. But I'm not sure if this is ok for DTV visa. I have ofc 500k in Thai bank.

If above information is not enough what another way can I use to get this visa?

Thank for any advices.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV visa is applicable for self-employed individuals like web designers. You'll need to provide proof of your freelance work, such as contracts and bank statements showing payments. Additionally, managing rental properties is also acceptable for this visa. Ensure you have the necessary documentation ready to support your application.

You may be new in this group but you've tried every kick at the can and every other group to try and get into/stay in the country.

Solo freelancers get DTV. You have to show proof that you can do it remotely. Attach 5-6 contracts while applying (PDF). Attach bank statement where you receive freelance payments.

Self employed as a web designer and online rental property management are acceptable for the DTV.

I thought you were applying for a Non-O based on marriage? You seem very confused on what you want to do (other than live in Thailand). So there are some things you need to consider, if you want to work remotely from Thailand then the DTV Workation option is really the only legal option open to you. You can't legally work remotely on a Non-O. To apply under Workation you will need to either show you remotely manage your property rentals (doesn't work if you use a property agent) or show you have sufficient income from your website design business. They frequently ask you to show you are registered for tax and you need to show invoices, income in your bank account erc. Plus the 500k baht of course.

as I said you don't really have options if you work inside Thailand for clients outside Thailand. Your only legal option is the DTV

no one knows where are you while you working, it's not a problem. You think that this people in cafe shops or anywhere who working on their laptops, they all have DTV? 😊

I'm just looking for options to stay not for work.

note I did say *legal*. I'm aware people do it but they should keep it very quiet. All it takes is an unhappy local and you have problems

Yes, it is fine. Many DTVERS don't have a company, it is no problem.
