Exploring the option of applying for DTV in Thailand but struggling to find if my circumstances make me eligible.
Am about to become a landlord for one property only, in the UK. Would this meet the requirements for a DTV? Not a registered company, just a landlord with accountant to deal with self-assessment to HMRC. Have sufficient funds in UK.
Would I be viewed as a business owner? I don’t have a cert. of incorporation, nor a tax return yet as landlord status will commence next financial year (April 2025/26) so no tax return until 2026.
Thanks in advance.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about their eligibility for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand, given their status as a landlord of a single property in the UK, without formal business registration. They are concerned about qualifying criteria due to their lack of a certificate of incorporation and pending tax returns. Responses indicate that self-managing the property online may meet the DTV requirements, and there is anecdotal evidence from other landlords who have successfully secured their DTV visas.
