Is having a rental business in the UK sufficient evidence for obtaining a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand?

I’m planning on moving to Thailand later in the year and getting the DTV visa, I’ve got a property rental business in the UK which has been trading for 9 months. Will this be enough evidence to obtain the DTV visa? I’ll always be doing freelance work in the construction industry but not sure how I can evidence this? Any advise would be much appreciated. Thank you!

How do you plan to freelance in the construction industry remotely?

I do building surveys remotely

wow, I didn't think that was possible. I assume in that case you can show invoices for the work you do so I don't see why you couldn't include it

A guy I know did very similar to you. Building company and rentals. His remote role as Director was approving quotations and payroll. He got his DTV in first few weeks after it was launched from London Embassy.

Depends on Embassy, as most DTV stuff.

Use search to get specific information about the choosen Embassy

Use old company details and get imaginative with the letters and contracts and use your tax id to prove you are a tax payer.

If you're a freelancer without your company, I believe you should show them some of your agreements with the clients - whatever you think is necessary to prove that you actually work like that and that you do it legally

They just want to see if you can legally work remotely from Thailand. So it's either some confirmation from your CEO, or confirmation from yourself if you're the CEO. Some invoices or agreements will be a plus, but are not required. Also it can be necessary to show them that the company works legally, so some documents from the gov institutions stating that the company has been registered.

Anonymous participant 982 Thank you for your response! I have recently been made redundant from my company after 9 years however I will be going self employed doing retrofit co-ordination (building surveys remotely) - is this ok and is there anything I need to do to get the DTV visa as I’ve left my jobs to go self employed and work remotely with the qualification that I have (Level 5 Retrofit Co-ordination) - the problem is I won’t have any existing invoices as I’ll be newly setup - your help would be much appreciated! Thank you

well, if I were them and you told me you're newly self-employed and you have no invoices yet, and from the previous company you can't provide me any documents... I'd clearly refuse your application.
