I’m married to a Thai national, holding a 1 year Non-O visa. 90 days stamp expired and on amnesty till next July 31st.

I’ve been told I can apply for a 60 days visit family extension without the 400K proof. Will I need a $100000 coverage health insurance to apply for the extension?

Also, I can’t find any company covering $100K, anyone knows who is offering this coverage?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user married to a Thai national is inquiring about applying for a 60-day visit family extension on their Non-O visa. They question whether they need health insurance coverage of $100,000 and if they can apply without proving 400,000 baht in funds. Commenters confirm that no health insurance is required and provide a list of necessary documents for the extension application.

Yes you can, assuming you did not apply for that 60 day extension of stay yet

No you will not need the health insurance or coverage. The specific requirements to get the 60 day extension of stay based on visiting family depends on the immigration office, but most require:

1. Your passport, copy of the data page, copy of your visa, and copy of your entry stamp, and departure card

2. Your wife's Bluebook, a copy of her first bluebook page

3. Your wife's ID card, and front and back copy of it

4. Your marriage certificate and a front and back copy of the marriage certificate

5. 1,900 THB
