Question on insurance: I am staying here with a non-immigrant O visa/visa visa extension. Is health insurance a requirement now? If it is, what kind of coverage do I need to qualify as valid insurance?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual inquired about the health insurance requirement while staying in Thailand with a non-immigrant O visa and its extension. A comment clarified that health insurance is only required for holders of O-A visas or those on extensions from an O-A visa. Therefore, health insurance is not necessary for individuals with a non-immigrant O visa.

You said you are here on an O visa with an extension

The insurance is for people who have O-A visas from a thai consulate in their country before they came here OR are on extensions from an original O-A visa ONLY.
