Can I apply for a 60-day follow your wife visa after my extension of stay expires, and then extend it again before obtaining a non-O multiple visa?

So due to the pound being so crap I’m changing from extension of stay non o based on marriage to non o multiple visa one year ( either at Ho Chi Minh City or Savannakhet) My questions are as follow.

1) my extension of stay runs out on February 22nd so can I go to immigration and get a 60 day follow your wife visa? Therefore to about 22nd April?

2) can I then go back

To immigration on 22nd April and get a further one month extension? Then around May 21st I’ll go and get non o multiple .

3) when I get this visa I am not going to bother doing TM30 because I won’t have interaction with immigration, but will do one on my last entry 15 months so that I can get a 2 month extension at immigration ( making it 17 months) will that be okay ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is transitioning from an extension of stay on a Non-O visa based on marriage to a Non-O multiple visa. They inquire about the ability to obtain a 60-day extension after their current extension expires and if a subsequent 1-month extension is possible before applying for the Non-O multiple visa. Answers confirm that while they can apply for a 60-day extension based on their marriage not exceeding the expiration, they cannot achieve additional extensions beyond that. Finally, they discuss the TM30 form's relevance and express their intent to minimize immigration engagements.

My question can I get a 30 day ( 1900 ) extension after my extension of stay expires on 22nd February ?

And then can I extend that by 2 months follow your wife visa ( just change the order)

I will do that . That’s what I will have to do because I will need an extension of stay at immigration for 60 .

At the very least, do the TM30 on your final entry of the ME Non-O visa. So far it’s only the Tourist Visas or Visa Exemptions which don’t get asked for TM30 for extensions.

if you current Extension of Stay is permitted up to 22 Feb 2020, you can apply between 30 days before and 22 Feb 2020 for an 60 Day Extension of Stay based on visiting your wife. 2) No, you can not go back to Immigration to apply again for an additional 1 month Extension of Stay 3) Choice is yours to bother with the rules of Immigration, I can only advice to follow them or take the risk.

I leave every 90 days anyway so it’s no hassle .

You can only get a 30 day Extension of Stay based on a Visa Exempt Entry or on a Tourist Visa, not on any Non Immigrant visa or Extension of Stay. Please do not forget that the hassle of doing a 90 day report at your local Immigration Office is going to be replaced with leaving Thailand every 90 days.

Part of the reason I’m switching to this visa is less hassle. No 90 day reporting and no TM30. I’ll do one TM30 on my last entry so that I can get a 60 day extension. By the way Can I get the 30 day extension first and then apply for a 60 day follow your wife? In that order ?
