ORIGINAL POSTER
I have read on multiple Thai news outlets that Elite visa holders are now allowed entry to the kingdom (subject to various covid protocols). I have Now been informed that this is not true, elite visa still has no access? Has anyone travelled into Thailand recently under "Elite visa". Has plans to, or can advise on this matter? Thank you?

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is currently uncertainty regarding the entry of Elite Visa holders into Thailand due to ongoing COVID-19 regulations. Although there are reports suggesting that Elite Visa holders may be classified among those allowed entry, most consulates are not processing applications for entry at this time. It is advised that individuals contact the Thai consulate or the Thai Elite company directly for the most accurate and updated information. Recent communications from the Thai Elite Visa suggest that re-entry principles for these members are still in discussion and that a definitive timeline for entry permission has not been established.

This is the latest information from Thai Elite Visa in reply to a member...on August 17.

Recent reply from Elite to an email I sent :

We certainly hope this email finds you well.

In reply to your recent complaints over our slow and noncorresponding replies to your email enquiries or our failure to provide you with any confirmation you had hope to receive, we can do nothing but offer our sincere apologies for your recent dissatisfaction we wish would never have happened to you or any of our Elite members.

As the COVID-19 pandemic still remains, we have lately been receiving an influx of emails from our Elite members from across the world asking similar questions to yours. To enable us to respond promptly to any requests or enquiries from our members, we essentially need to enlist help from a support team to help handle day-to-day pressing enquiries, including the use of our reply templates needed for promptness in our response, which occasionally leads to some unintentional noncorresponding answers to questions such as yours.

Regarding your complaint about not receiving the letter sent to your Elite member friend, we would like to clarify that the letter you saw was not our all-member current update announcement, but a normal response to a member on a case-by-case basis. However, we truly apologize if that has caused you any level of offense or misunderstanding, or given you the impression that what we did was preferential treatment or that we have been disregarding your recent questions or complaints as it was not our intention in the slightest.

As to your question about the possible date of re-entry for Elite members to which we still have not been able to provide you with a precise answer, we have continuously been pushing our re-entry principles for Elite members to be approved by the government. However, these principles are still being discussed at length to ensure precautionary measures against the risk of a second wave of the outbreak in Thailand such as from the recent arrival of Egyptian soldiers. In other words, our attempt to have our Elite members back is still in principle, nothing is yet conclusive contrary to the inaccurate information you might have seen in the news as a result of an information leak. Having said that, the answer to your question over a definite date of re-entry permission is left solely to the discretion of the government for the health benefit of all, including our Elite members.

In response to your question as to why Elite members will be granted re-entry permission after the six group categories, for instance, wedded couples, businesspeople, students and those requiring medical treatment, this is due to the fact that these 6 categories hold a non-immigrant visa whereas our Elite members hold a long-term tourist visa, which, according to the visa priority re-entry regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic, permission will be granted after those mentioned categories by reason of necessity. Despite this fact and the privileges which the Elite visa have over others, our management have stressed to the Office of Consumer Protection Board and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the importance of having our Elite members back into the country in the quickest time possible, which resulted in the government’s re-entry permission for our Elite members after the non-immigrant visa holders, but under drastic health safety measures.

We do hope you will accept our true explanations to your recent complaints and understand the predicament we are in in the case of re-entry permission. As much as we wish to have you back as soon as you wish for, we are not allowed to do so as we are not in the position of authority over the decision. However, we will keep doing our best to push our principles for approval to enable us to welcome you back once again in the nearest time possible.

While that demographic of foreigner (elite visa/card holders) has indeed be added to the "approved group to enter" they have not hashed out the minutia and at this time most consulates are NOT allowing elite visa holders to apply for permission to enter the country.

Contact the thai consulate in the country you're in OR contact the thai elite company directly (or follow their f/b feed) ;)
