How difficult do you guys think it will be to leave Bangkok while it is a red zone?
We were hoping to arrive in Bangkok, complete our ASQ, and then fly or take the train to meet our family member in a yellow zone province.
Any advice appreciated. We’re considering delaying our trip a second time if travel within Thailand isn’t possible, even though it’s an urgent family matter.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling from Bangkok while it is classified as a red zone may present challenges, as travel is currently not encouraged but not heavily restricted. It's vital to stay updated on any changing regulations, especially post-arrival. If restrictions are enacted, having proof of family ties at your destination may allow travel, albeit with possible quarantine requirements upon arrival. Given the urgency of the situation, travelers should prepare for potential delays or additional protocols.
If travel restrictions are put in place, all you have to do is show you have family where you are going to, and you can travel there, but, a 14 day home quarantine might be required. Even when Thailand was under full lockdown before, people where still allowed to return home, if they could show where they were going was home.
Ella Ruuskanen. In your situation I would say still come. At this point there seems to be some vague restrictions from a couple of yellow zone provinces that they will require people arriving from red zones to report to health authorities and undertake 14 days home quarantine. There are (as yet) no travel restrictions, and it appears all domestic flights are still up and running (I returned from Ubon yesterday, and looking at the departure board at Suvarnabhumi on my return there didn't appear to be any cancellations). I would advise keeping your eye on developments.
Currently there are no restrictions on travel to most provinces but not encouraged. Things may change so no way of giving you a definitive answer at this point in time.
