What are the current travel permissions for going from Chon Buri to Nong Khai in light of border restrictions?
Hello, looking for information here. I am, tentatively, planning to travel from Chon Buri directly to Nong Khai province once Laos reopens their borders and visas (possibly on the 21st or later). I know most province borders are closed. What can be done to obtain permission to travel?
Answer summary
The discussion centers on the challenges faced by individuals wanting to travel from Chon Buri to Nong Khai, particularly in relation to the reopening of the Laos border. Users advise caution and suggest that it may be wise to wait until borders are officially open and travel conditions improve, as there may be complications with re-entering Thailand.

How about waiting until the borders actually OPEN and allow cross country travel before you plan your trip there slick?

I wouldn't plan on leaving before may 1st. You're going to have issues coming back into Thailand even if Laos lets you in.

I won't need to come back into Thailand, if I make it into Laos. I have a place to stay lined up already in LaosActivity
