Am I correct in thinking that the Elite Visa will gain you entry to Thailand in the current 'closed borders' climate? So, I can apply in the UK and fly to Thailand one approved?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Elite Visa may allow you to request entry into Thailand during the 'closed borders' situation, but the process is currently unclear. While elite visa holders are on the list of those allowed to request permission to enter, there's no definitive information on how to proceed. It's advisable to contact the Elite Visa company directly and reach out to the Thai consulate in your country for guidance.

A recent letter sent to an Thai Elite Card member by Thai Elite.

An email I received from Elite:

Regarding your below email, we would like to clarify that we tried to raise your issue to the board of directors including the list of our members who stuck abroad and consult this issue with related government departments. The latest news in all media not announced by Thai government. An international flight provided by a private sector still doesn’t operate as usual. We therefore kindly suggest you to wait until the Thai government has announces the notification on conditions and requirements of foreigner who is allowed to travel to Thailand through international flight provided by a private sector.

We, as a state-own enterprise strictly controlled under the supervision of the Royal Thai Government, are still waiting for them to consider our requests as well. This is the reason why we are unable to give unofficial information to members at the moment.

Does the elite visa exempt you from state quarantine?

No...all who enter must fly on a repatriation flight and do 14+ days quarantine at an ASQ hotel in Bangkok at your expense...ranging from 30,000 Thai baht to 137,000 per reports.

The answer is MAYBE.. Unfortunately while elite visa holders were listed on the "approved to request permission to enter the country" list at this time the Elite company has no information how exactly it works for elite visa holders to begin the process and people who are out of the country and contact the thai embassy in their country (the FIRST step in requesting permission to enter) were told elite people can't enter yet.

I'd say talk to the elite company direct and call/email the thai consulate in your country to see what they say about elite holders entering thailand at this time.
