A friend of mine arrived at Don Mueang airport on a 30 day stamp in. He is currently staying in Pattaya. It is an American Passport He is wondering if he can get an extension. I’m not sure if he can get one at Jomtien Beach Immagration or does he have to get one in Bangkok somewhere? Any help is appreciated 🙏
Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A friend with a 30-day stamp at Don Mueang airport can extend their stay at Jomtien Immigration. Extensions are typically processed during the last week of the current visa validity, and requirements may include a TM30 registration for the address where they are staying.
Jomtien only allows you to apply for a tourist extension during the last week of the existing stay so make sure your friend doesn't go too early or else he'll wait in line and get sent away.
His arrival point is irrelevant. His local immigration office is where they get an extension. Some will require a TM30 for the extension. Some won’t. Without knowing the office that they’ll use we can’t advise what they’d need
