Can a Volunteer visa holder switch to a Tourist or Covid visa while in Thailand?

I have a friend on a Volunteer visa (agent granted), which will expire soon.
Is it possible to switch to a tourist or covid visa while still in country?
Would they be able to do this on their own?
Also--does anyone know the schools still doing education visas (feel free to PM).

The Work Permit associated with the Visa has to be cancelled first. The applicant then attends the immigration office to request volunteer visa cancellation and request the covid extension

you have to cancel at that province. If you dont want to go then pay the agent to do it.Reply to
