TLDR : Answer Summary
If you've completed two visa runs (border bounces) in 2022, you may technically be able to do it again in January 2023. However, it's crucial to note that there are no specific limits on air entries; the focus is more on land entries where two per calendar year is the norm. Expect that immigration officers might question your prolonged stay in Thailand without a proper visa, and it's uncertain how many times you can successfully do this before facing questions or complications.

Assuming you are referring to exempt entries by land border bounces. You are allowed two per calendar year. There’s no technical limit by air.
At some point either by land or air you may be questioned why you are trying to stay long term in Thailand without a correct visa. No one can say after how many times that may be because that’s up to the individual immigration officer you give your passport to.
Some visa run companies claim this won't be an issue for entering by land because they pay these people since you travel as a group. Do you know if this is true?
Thanks for letting me know about this. I also heard if you have issues like you described you can pay an agent to get you from the airport from 5 to 10K so you won't have issues about too many stamps etc. I guess that's also true then?
Yep. A number of them offer VIP entry services where they escort you through the queues and get you processed quicker. You’ll need to be truthful about your entry history to them especially if you have Covid extensions. Fees charges will generally be different depending on that history.
wow that's good to know. One guy i know said he is staying here like 15 years as tourist, visa runs, volunteer, student etc below the age of 50. That's what he told me he had to do when he left Thailand and come back.
Years ago it was not super hard to cheat the system, but it is getting harder and harder.
I managed 7 years in the country on EDs/Exempts and TVs, but 3 years ago I came to the end of the line and had to get a proper visa to be able to live here.
Living here on a short-term visa is a constant headache and not something I recommend. One day the party is over, and it is not fun if your whole life is in the country.
