TLDR : Answer Summary
You can make consecutive land border crossings into Thailand if you have a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa and are within its validity period. If you are using a visa-exempt entry, you can re-enter Thailand twice within a calendar year after leaving to a neighboring country.

There is no official rule how many times you can (cross the border to) enter Thailand through same border / check point consecutively (or not). Only one rule regarding to how many times you can enter Thailand is twice per calendar year on visa exempt entry as moderators explain above.

If you have the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa and you are before the Valid until date, yes.

If you mean you leave Thailand, go in/out neighbor country, get back into Thailand without any visa and get a 30 day stay named Visa Exempt Entry, you can do this twice a calendar year.
