The rules for border bounces by sea in Thailand are understood to be the same as land bounces. Travelers are typically limited to two Visa Exempt entries per calendar year, regardless of whether they enter via land or sea. However, there is some confusion within the community regarding interpretations of these rules, especially concerning different entry points and methods of transport. Immigrations offices associated with sea entries are typically considered land entries, thus capped at the same limit. Some individuals suggest that no limits exist for bounces by sea in specific cases, but these claims are generally rejected as incorrect based on current laws.
and they are designated as air entry. Unlimited entries annually. As opposed to land borders (even if reached by sea), which are land entries. 2 per calendar year
I was primarily addressing your claim 'no border bounce by sea'. Not only at Ranong, there's also Koh Lipi to Langkawi, I'm sure there are loads more...
well aware that one must take a boat. We use Langkawi- Lipe frequently. And Iโm sure some exits from Cambodia. In spite of the mode of transportation they count as land border bounces. As I mentioned, there are no border bounces by sea.

Sea bounces are seen as land bounces so the same rules apply
