i have question. i know we can cross border twice over land. once i went frm battambang to bkk over land.. second time i flew from phnom penh to phuket and returned over land to cambodia.

can i cross one more time to Thailand then have to return by plane or can i still go and come back 1 time over land?

also this rule of 2 times land crossing is this per calender year or does it count 1 year after first crossing...thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the number of times they can cross into Thailand via land borders within a calendar year. They seek clarity on whether they can complete another land crossing before needing to return by air, and they want to confirm if the limit of two land crossings resets every calendar year.

You are allowed 2 land entries into Thailand per calendar year using visa exempt.

So if you entered with an actual visa you bought at an embassy, the 2 land entries doesn't apply.

So how did you enter those 2 times? Was it with a visa or was it visa exempt?

Because it's calendar year, it starts over every January 1st.

Thailand doesn't care about how you leave. It's only land entries that are subject to the 2 per annum rule. Entry by air isn't subject to the same restriction

Your Visa Exempt entries reset 1-Jan so you are allowed 2 during 2023

I entered over land into Thailand visa except 20 May 2022 ; and returned to cambodia 18 days later,

The I flew from Phnom Penh to Phuket visa exempt on 15 November, and I returned to Cambodia on 8 December over land

S I entered Thailand 1 time over land and 1 time by air , and I left Thailand to cambodia 2 times over land

it's really irrelevant to be honest because it reset 10 days ago on January 1st.

You now have 2 land entries into Thailand visa exempt for 2023.
