Which kind of visa (60 days or 90 days) can be converted to a year visa in Thailand? We want to enter Thailand with a visa and arrange a year visa (OA) when we are there.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A 90-day Non-Immigrant (O) visa can be converted to a one-year extension of stay in Thailand if you meet the necessary requirements. While it's possible to convert a tourist visa to a Non-O 90-day visa and then extend it for another year, you cannot apply for a Non-Immigrant OA visa within Thailand; it must be obtained from your home country or country of legal residence.

You need a 90 day Non Imm visa in order to apply for a 1 year extention of stay.
You cannot obtain the Non Imm OA visa inside Thailand.

You can also convert a tourist visa to a Non-O 90 day visa inside Thailand and then extend that for 12 months. Again as long as you meet the requirements.

A 90 day visa (non immigrant O) can be converted to a year long extension of stay provided you have the right requirements.
You can only apply for a Non immigrant OA visa in your home country or country of legal residence.
