Hi guys. Still figuring out the solution for my Chinese wife regarding how to extend her stay till the end of winter.

Currently she holds TR visa which we going to extend for 30 more days soon. Then, after this 30 days she have 2 options:

- back to China and apply for a new tourist visa;

- do border-run and get stamped for 15 days (for Chinese is only 15 days).

So, the question is about stamp extension. Few years ago 15 days stamp was possible to extend only for 7 days. Does it recently changed ? Can she extend 15 days stamp for 30 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around extending a Chinese wife's stay in Thailand, who currently holds a TR visa. She has options to either return to China for a new tourist visa or perform a border run for a 15-day stamp. The key question raised is whether the 15-day stamp for Chinese citizens can now be extended for a longer period than the previously allowed 7 days. Community responses confirm that, as of the latest information, the 15-day visa on arrival can indeed only be extended for 7 days, and it's advisable to apply for a new tourist visa while in China.

nope a 15 day visa on arrival can only be extended for 7 days for 1900baht and some offices want proof that you're going to leave in a week to even issue that.

it’s better to apply a new tourist visa in china. boarder run doesn’t really work for chinese passport have to show return ticket and stuffs at boarder.
