TLDR : Answer Summary
A Russian citizen inquired about extending their visa exempt stamp in Thailand for an additional 30 days but faced difficulties at a local immigration office in Mae Hong Son. Responses indicated that options may include exiting and re-entering Thailand at a border or through an airport, as Russian citizens are generally eligible for a specific visa treatment due to bilateral agreements. Confusion remains about the feasibility of an extension, with advice suggesting that a border run might be the most reliable solution.

I think your only option to get another 30 day stamp is to exit/re-enter the country either at a land border or by air. :/ The good thing is Russia is not on the list of countries that get only two 30 day stamps in a calendar year. (y)

True. If you get a 30 day stamp you are allowed to get 7 days extension only.

I think it's because you get a 30 day stamp because of a bilateral agreement between russia and thailand, (thaiz get stamped into russia for 30 days too). It's not the normal "30 day visa exempt entry" like people from 45 countries get.
I'd say go to the Mae Sai - Tachiliek border with burma, stamp out of thailand, stamp in&out of burma and stamp right back into thailand to get another 30 day entry stamp

Why couldn't you get it?
