TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a NON-O visa in Thailand without knowing anyone, you can apply directly if you're 50 years or older by meeting certain financial requirements (like having 800,000 THB in your bank account) and providing necessary documents including a bank letter and proof of address. Some commenters advised using visa agents for assistance, while others highlighted that speaking directly with immigration can also be effective. If you're under 50, options like the DTV visa were suggested, though the NON-O visa is primarily aimed at retirees or individuals with certain family connections.
Thank you everyone for the assistance. I did the research months ago and came to the same conclusion as the concensus here. But when I went to apply this week, the application specified non oa and ox but the non a appeared to be for visiting friends and family. But fortunately I was wrong and Brandon was kind enough to point out what everyone says here. So thank you everyone for being kind enough to help out.

Put 800,000 in a bank( for 3 months I think) Then get a letter from the bank with assurance of the funds.(or evidence by bank statements of 65,000 baht income/month)
Evidence of your address here from abode owner, a photo of yourself, dress smartly and go to Immigration. Easy

Go to your Thai embassy in your home country they will give you one
that’s Not truth, you need a Passphoto not older 6 months, you need to Show your Financial Situation from the last 3 months ! I think is 1700€ a month! You Need an address where you stay ! I would also recommend a healthinsurance

You don't need to know people
If you are over 50 you just need 800k in the bank account
Then few photocopies of yr passport
Letter from the bank stating that
Proof of yr address which u should get it where you stay
1900 thn and few hours to wait
That's all..... No connection whatsoever 😊😊

I didn't know anyone and got a non o visa. Many do this every day. So whats the issue? Do you want us to read between the lines and guess your real intentions?

It used to be possible (and quite easy) to get a one-year non-B, but I do not think it is possible any longer.
Not sure what you are asking for. You probably want a one-year extension, as a non-O visa will give you only 90 days. Marriage non-O are known to be a bit of a pain (and of course you need to be married to a Thai citizen). Retirement non-O are much easier, but you would need to be 50 years old at least. Another option is a guardian non-O, but you would need to have a child and pay the tuition fees.
I know how to read, do you? If he's 45 an agent can't get him a non-O visa.
There are MANY different ways to qualify for non-O visa. An agent can help you with the requirements of a visa, but not with the qualifications. An agent can't get you a non-O based on being 50 (retirement) if you're not 50 years old. An agent can't get you a non-O based on being married to a Thai if you're not married to a Thai.
