The consensus among community members is that returning to Thailand while your visa application is processing will disqualify your application. Various suggestions include traveling to neighboring countries like Malaysia or Phu Quoc, Vietnam, for a brief stay while you await approval. It's advised not to enter Thailand until your visa is sorted out.

Do not go to Thailand ..it will immediately disqualify your application...take a trip to a neighboring country until approved
Jakarta frequently requests further documents for scan of all passport pages and proof of location is still currently in Indonesia. Ask the embassy what you should do. Not a good idea to apply in a country that you can't get an extension past 30 days. But do not go to Thailand. The instructions clearly state that you cannot be in Thailand.
If you return, they will cancel your application. Go anywhere but Thailand and wait for approval! You can go to the island of Phu Quoc if you have trouble getting visas for other countries. As long as you fly straight in and right back out, you can stay there 30 days (double check the timeframe).
Although it’s technically not allowed to leave while your visa is processing, you could reach out to the embassy tell them your situation and see what they say , or option b don’t tell them and just do a border run
