TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no official limit for Indian nationals obtaining a Visa on Arrival (VOA) in Thailand; however, the immigration officer has discretion in granting entry. Most land borders do not permit entry via VOA, making airport arrivals the primary option. Additionally, travelers may experience scrutiny after multiple entries.

like Stuart said it's going to be at the discretion of immigration and they're likely to be more strict than visa exempt nations.

Land borders are generally not an option for VOA.

Yeah, but I'm talking about airport arrivals as i do not want to be deported after paying 2200 thb for VOA.

I'm just not familiar enough with VOA to even know if you'd be rejected before or after paying. Sorry.

Yea there is a limit on everyone.. sooner or later they start harassing you. It's annoying. Even a Bangladeshi like yourself. On paper there isn't, but after a year and half of coming here now it's getting a bit annoying. Hope you don't have problems. Just expect it and be ready to leave to another country or home country if need be.

There is no set limit. It’ll be at the discretion of the immigration officer to determine.

Note that most (if not all) land borders will not allow a VOA entry. I do not have information on any land border that will allow.

It's the same. Since both Indians and Chinese have access to visa on arrival.

To encourage tourism, the majority of land borders issue VOA, as they want to make it easier for Chinese and Indian nationals to enter. As everyone knows, the Thai government loves Chinese tourists. So many of them enter by land through the land borders with Laos (particularly the Golden Triangle and Chiang Khong) with sizeable numbers coming through Nong Khai, that all these border crossings started offering VOA several years ago. The only international borders that might not offer VOA are the smaller quieter ones such as Phayao, Beung Kan, Ranong, Wang Prachan and Ban Prakob.

Again, one needs to check immigration websites for an up to date list.

Would they make it easier for Indian nationals to enter through land borders just like Chinese nationals?

MOST land borders allow VOA (check the Thai government immigration website for details). This is well known. Like I said, I just recently traveled with some Chinese people and also back in

, so I know quite well, the situation regarding VOA at land borders. All the larger borders will have the facility available. This is well known.

Most land borders allow VOA entries though not all. Just came through several different borders with some Chinese nationals.

One border that does not issue VOAs anymore (though they do issue re entry permits) is Ranong.

yeah good luck trying that. Perhaps a website or such says they allow but in reality it may be different. Happy to hear if a particular land border allows. Can pass on to others.
