Are Quarterly Payments Acceptable for a Non O Marriage Visa in Thailand?

My income for a non O marriage visa meets the required minimum. However the payments/deposits are made on a quarterly basis. This averages out to over the 40k requirement. Do you know if this is acceptable to immigration? I will be applying for this visa shortly.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses concerns about using quarterly income deposits to meet the 40,000 baht monthly requirement for a Non O marriage visa in Thailand. Community members suggest that immigration typically requires consistent monthly deposits and recommend checking with the immigration office before proceeding with the visa application.

no disrespect but you're pretty far away from needing to fill out a TM7 application for extension. You definitely need to see if they're gonna take your quarterly deposits as proof of funds.

Like I said, IF I was a betting man I'd bet they will not..

Find that out before you get the cart too far ahead of the horse.

You will cancel your extension based on employment from AUA and immediately apply for a new yearly extension based on marriage

You do NOT need a Non-O visa, you only need to change the reason for your extension from employment to marriage.

Non-Immigrant is what I always put. You held at one time a Non-Immigrant Type B visa but now you're on extensions so just write Non-Imm

thank you for the clarification. I now understand that all I am doing is getting an extension based on marriage. I have a bank statement for the past year of transactions.

you will need a letter from your bank listing every overseas transfer from the previous 12 months and to update your bank book the date you apply for the extension.

BUT

First find out if you can even use quarterly transfers or not. That will be the linch pin on whether this plan will work or not

Right, you will take the proof the work permit is cancelled and the termination papers from your employer in to the immigration office and cancel your current extension and then immediately apply for a brand new yearly extension based on marriage by meeting the requirements for that extension and turning in the documents.

BEfore you try to pull this off definitely go to the immigration office and CHECK about your transfers to see if they will let it fly or not AND get the hand out they have that lists the requirements as far as documentation you need to present to get the extension based on marriage

DEFINITELY go to the immigration office with your bank book to show them your incomin' transfers to see if they're gonna accept quarterly transfers BEFORE you cancel the extension based on employment

AUA have closed a number of branches and mine was one of them. I am therefore redundant ( my work permit will be cancelled when I apply for a visa extension. All my colleagues from the branch are in the same boat. I do not wish to teach in a school and have decided to retire. So my understanding is that I have to apply for a non O visa. I don’t have the requirements for a retirement visa. I have also been married since 2009.

and what I am telling you is that you have a false understanding of how it works.

Read my post below as it will outline how the process really works

there we go, you're on an EXTENSION OF STAY (not a visa at all) and all you need to do is cancel this extension and change the REASON for why you are getting the next extension

Unfortunately
@Den***
that's not gonna fly :( IF your country doesn't issue the income affidavit the rules specifically state you need to have a minimum incoming transfer of 40K baht per month each month every month for the preceding 12 months.

I'd say you're out nothing by taking your transfer information to the immigration office to see what they say, BUT if I was a betting man I'd bet you will not get an extension based on quarterly transfers.

the British Embassy does not give affidavits for UK pensions. All I can do is to see if immigration can accept quarterly deposits. Can’t do anything else.

Then the question is: Is this income made abroad if yes, then does your Embassy provide the Income Affidavit, if yes, apply for one.

If the income is from abroad and your Embassy does not provide the income affidavit, you need at least 12 months of monthly foreign deposits into your Thai bank account.

If this income is made inside Thailand you need the last three months of tax and sso payments from you and staff needed to get work permit.

I hope this give you an answer as the given information is not enough to just go to one option

the income is from abroad. The Embassy does not give an income affidavit. I have 12 months of foreign deposits. The deposits are made quarterly not monthly but are equivalent to more than the required monthly 40k.

at least 12 months of monthly foreign deposits is what I wrote, not quarterly deposits

I know you wrote monthly deposits. The question is do you know if quarterly deposits that equate to more than the minimum monthly requirement are accepted by immigration?

@Dennis *******
No, they do not as the requirement is clearly written as monthly foreign deposits

Example of the needed bank letter to show that monthly deposits are done
