Hello all,
- I’m sorry in advance if I refer to the different types of visas incorrectly.
I’m English and married to a Thai national.
In the last 10 years I have been in Thailand more than anywhere else including my home country of England.
I’m a contractor with a British passport and travel to other countries for work.
Recently I have been experiencing questions at both Bangkok airports as I have been returning here on visa exemption (30 days) and holiday visa (60 days).
I’m planning to go to Vientiane in early January to make a new visa application and was hoping to make a visa based on Marriage to a Thai national.
I currently have money tied up in property so will need to show my earnings instead of weathering the ฿400,000.
I am paid infrequently but can show that I have at least ฿40,000 going in to my account on average, each month.
How long do I need to show that the money has been going in to my Thai account ? Is there something I specifically need to ask Kasikorn Bank for to show with the visa application ? Has anyone else on here shown that they have the correct amount of money going into their Thai account but have so on average and not at the same time each month ?
Sorry for the long winded post, I hope it makes sense.
TLDR : Answer Summary
An English expat married to a Thai national is looking for guidance on applying for a marriage visa in Thailand, given that he has variable income deposited into his Thai bank account. He seeks advice on how long he needs to show the deposits and what documentation is required from Kasikorn Bank, especially since his income does not meet the typical ฿400,000 threshold consistently.
