I could do with some advice. I have been on a non immigration O visa (marriage) for 2 years. I started a new job earlier this year but now need to renew my O visa before 400,000 has been deposited by my employer. As I'm employed and will earn more than the necessary 400k a year but not before my renewal will immigration have an issue with it? Can I apply for a non immigration again or will I have to ask my employer to apply for a non immigration B visa instead?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice regarding the renewal of their Non-Immigrant O visa, which is based on marriage, and expresses concerns about meeting the 400,000 baht deposit requirement before the renewal. Respondents clarify that the income must be based on the previous 12 months and that if the money isn't deposited in time, the user may need to consider exiting Thailand and re-entering to apply for a new Non-O visa or transitioning to a Non-B visa instead.

How much were you making monthly from your current job for the last 12 months? If it was bt40,000+ a month, and you have a work permit, and your wages were direct deposit into your bank, and you payed your Thai income taxes, you can use that, but, it has to be bt40,000+ a month, it can not be more some months, and under others, averaging out to bt400,000.

I lost my previous job early 2020, just started my new job January this year so there's not been 400,000 paid yet

Hey Chris, so the income method needs to be over the last 12 months, can't be based on future salary. If you don't have the 400k in an account 60 days (pretty sure it's 60) before applying for a yearly extension, you can't get the extension.

2 options would be either exit Thailand and reenter visa exempt, then apply for a new Non-O based on marriage (90 days), put the 400k in an account and apply for a yearly extension after 60 days,

Or

Transition to a Non-B.

Just deposit the money yourself and withdraw it once your employer has paid it (good employer you have! ๐Ÿ˜€)
