Are copies of my birth and marriage certificates issued within the last two years acceptable for the soft power DTV application?

Hello! I'm looking to apply for the soft power DTV (then my family apply to accompany me) potentially in Vancouver or Ottawa in the next month or two. I've searched through the group and I'm not seeing this anywhere.

If the copies of my birth cert, marriage cert etc. are all issued within the last 2 years is that acceptable? Or do I need to pull all new copies within the last 2 or 3 months of applying? I've heard some conflicting answers.

If you did not date the copies, how will others know when you made these copies?
