Hi everyone, I have my DTV and we are going to apply for my husband’s and two children’s in 3 weeks from HCMC. I totally did not realize that we might need the marriage certificate and birth certs apostilled. Rookie mistake! 😩 is this the case in your experience? Did you need these docs apostilled to get approved? Thank you! 🙏

Legalisation/Apostille/Authentication of Marriage Certificates or Birth Certificates is dependent on the specific Thai Embassy or Thai Consulate

if the Marriage Certificate is issued by the same country as the citizenship/nationality of the Thai E–Visa Applicant, then generally okay with an upload of the Certified Copy of the Marriage Certificate, but if married elsewhere, then a Legalisation/Apostille/Authentication is going to be requested/required of the Marriage Certificate

If you make an individual visa application for each one of them and they also fulfill all the requirements for DTV, they need only their passports. If you want them to apply as dependents, then you need to prove he is your husband and that they are your children, so you will need the marriage certificate and birth certificates

My husband applied for DTV visa, took about 14 days for his to be approved, then we applied for dependent visas for two daughters and myself- this took 3 more weeks and many document requests.
