Hello everyone, quick question before I apply for the DTV visa.

I’m planning to apply from Malaysia and currently have the following ready:

* Full passport scan (all pages) + biometric page

* Passport-style photo

* Official bank statement PDF showing funds well above 500,000 THB (balance reached in January)

* Remote work / self-employment letter

* Booking.com Malaysia accommodation (around 1–2 weeks)

My questions are:

1. Is anything else typically required beyond the documents above?

2. For those who recently applied, how long did approval take in practice (rough range)?

3. How much is the application fee?

Peter Osabo No, you can upload documents anytime but can only submit it when you have proof of your location such as an ectry stamp in your passport

Based on reports from others who have applied in Malaysia:

Malaysia is probably the worst place to apply for a Thai visa in SEA.

They take a very long time (more than 1 month), will ask for documents many times, even ones you have already sent. Expect at least 3 requests for documents.

The price is whatever the embassy website says it is.
