Sorry I think I know the answer but I just want to make sure. I was stamped in on a Multi Entry ED visa on January 31st and this expires on the 31st of April.

Do I need to go and extend this visa by 90 days still at immigration? or am I covered by the amnesty until July? Will I need to go back in July and extend as usual?

My school is currently closed by I would still like to use the visa if/when it reopens again.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster inquires about the necessity of extending their Single Entry Non-Immigrant ED visa after it expires while schools are closed due to the pandemic. The response explains that since the poster's visa will expire on April 31 and classes are not in session, they cannot fulfill the study requirement for an extension. They should utilize the amnesty until the maximum deadline of July 31 and apply for a new visa once schools reopen.

I deleted your comments as they have nothing to do with this question. If you need help and clear answers make your own questions and stop telling everybody the Immigration officer said, you are talking about total different ways of staying in Thailand.

There is a HUGE difference in

Top picture, a visa

Bottom picture an Extension of Stay.

And as you can not get the normal Extension of Stay to study and not leave the country by borders, you can use the amnesty to wait until maximum 31 July or when schools and borders open up.

Story change as the correct names get used.

Sorry but a Single Entry Non Immigrant ED visa can only be used once to enter Thailand, and if you enter you get a new stamp with a 90 day period and the visa is stamped used and became invalid.

Your school is closed, therefor you do not follow any classes and study which is a requirement to get the Extension of Stay based on study at the Immigration Office. All you can do now is wait until the schools open up again, get new documents and apply for a new Non Immigrant ED visa at a Consulate

Next question, is this at a language school or is this at a university?
