What should I do if my 90-day entry stamp is expiring but I am under the amnesty due to COVID-19 restrictions?

I have a 1 year multiple non-b issued on feb 10. My current 90 day entry stamp expires in a few days. I assume I’m covered under the amnesty as can’t travel. I’ve tried calling local immigration office but no one is picking up. I also have a wp valid till July. Is there anything I should do or just sit tight and wait for the border to open?

Thanks for any advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a multiple entry Non-B visa expiring soon and is asking for advice regarding their stay in Thailand under the current amnesty conditions. It's suggested that they can either apply for a 1-year Extension of Stay based on employment or wait until the borders open to renew their visa, as they are protected by the amnesty until July 31.

, if you have a year long, multi-entry Non-B visa that you got from a thai consulate in another country and your current 90 day entry stamp is running out you are indeed covered by the amnesty for a stay no longer than the 31st of July.

You need to pay attention to the border openings and the news as far as what amnesty holders do once that happens..

I have single non-b ending on 5th June and need to apply for multi non-b 1 year. Koh Samui Immigration told me that if the borders are open before the 5th June then I must leave the country for 1 year non-b before the 5th June. If the borders are open after 5th June then I can stay till the 31 July without overstay covered by amnesty...

that was kind of incorrect information.

You don't NEED to leave to go get a year-long, multi-entry Non-B visa from a thai consulate.

You could meet the requirements for an extension based on employment at the immigration office and get a year extension in country.

You can apply for a 1 year Extension of Stay based on employment in Thailand, or wait until the borders open up again.

If you can apply for a new 1 year Work Permit without a valid stay in your passport is unknown to me, you have to contact the Ministry of Labor for that.

thanks Robert. I only recently opened the company and due the the shutdown I haven’t recruited any additional staff so don’t qualify for the one year extension just yet so I guess I just sit tight until the borders open and do a bounce as soon as I can?
